Behavioral Health Therapist - Pediatric Partial Hospitalization Program At Cleveland Clinic Children’s, our team brings expertise to each check‑up, test and procedure to ensure every child receives the best possible care. As a Behavioral Health Therapist on our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, compassionate mental health care to children, adolescents, and families, applying advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, diagnostic interviewing, assessment, and treatment planning to support patients with a wide range of needs, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

Key responsibilities include:

Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans.

Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.

Address a wide mental health spectrum, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.

Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.

Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to facilitate discharge planning.

Educate and provide resources to patients and families.

Supervise and/or train lower‑level social workers, students or interns.

Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.

Required qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field.

Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports.

Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients.

Physical Requirements:

A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; no weekends or holidays.

Employment Type: Full-time. Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level.

Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50
