Your Role at KIK Join our team as a Powder B Operator where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful operations of our facility. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. Bring your expertise to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

Cut bags of CA, monitor the flow and product level in bins, and place the product on the unloading station using a forklift.

Move excessive product to the unloading bin or super sacks for reprocessing.

Record the correct daily amount of bags cut and report to the "A" operator or Shift Supervisor.

Prepare equipment for maintenance, deconning, and de‑energizing (may require hours of shoveling product from equipment and floor surfaces).

Respond to plant emergencies—including product decomposition, power failures, spills, fires, explosions, and other related incidents—and don a Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when required.

Collect samples for processing.

Maintain housekeeping duties in assigned zones and conduct safety inspections.

Recycle bags of recyclable material as required.

Participate in all aspects of the safety program, including safety meeting attendance.

Operate a forklift to move and/or relocate material or equipment.

File all inventory tags in the designed file in numerical order and complete the required production reports for inventory control reporting.

Assist other operators or co‑workers as needed.

Perform other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma and 1 year of forklift experience in a chemical industry; previous process operator experience is a plus.

Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment, including SCBA, for extended periods while operating a forklift.

Ability to speak and comprehend verbal instruction while wearing a respirator in order to effectively communicate with coworkers and monitor equipment.

Ability to ascend stairs up to 80' in height.

Ability to perform shift work with occasional overtime and call‑outs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to function in a team environment.

Follow oral or written instructions, set procedures, work rules and standards.

Pass a physical and drug test.
