Scion is paving a path in student living and the Facilities Technician is an integral part of executing our vision. This position responds to maintenance and repair service requests, carries out preventive maintenance tasks, prepares apartments for turnovers, and ensures timely supply requests. The Facilities Technician upholds the safety and functionality of the property’s buildings and equipment, delivering optimal service to our residents.

Responsibilities

Log service requests and completed work in Entrata and CMMS in a timely manner. Maintain the physical condition of the property per Scion Group’s SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards. Perform physically demanding work to maintain property assets and minimize liability.

Execute maintenance objectives and daily assignments with the Facilities Supervisor.

Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair tasks professionally and promptly.

Ensure all service requests are completed daily.

Document work performed and parts used; submit daily reports with legible notes, supplies used, follow‑up actions, and signatures.

Promote good public relations with residents, service staff, contractors, and management.

Inspect vacated apartments and document needed repairs; inform the Facilities Supervisor.

Perform routine repairs—appliance, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical—to ready apartments on time.

Inspect interior common areas and building exterior, maintaining daily upkeep and operational lighting fixtures.

Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems to ensure warranty compliance and extend useful life; inspect units, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, CO₂ alarms, filters, utilities, and handle necessary work.

Clean coils, lubricate equipment, maintain air filters, and perform minor repairs as assigned.

Keep repair locations or maintenance shop clean and safe.

Maintain parts and supplies inventory; organize workshop, storerooms, boiler rooms, and utility rooms. Такая

Keep drainage grills clear of debris.

Clean and maintain pool chemicals; adjust as required.

Pressure wash sidewalks, building surfaces, and pool decks.

Assist with snow removal when required.

Set up and take down tables, chairs, and other items for tenant functions.

Assume responsibility for after‑hours emergencies under supervisor direction.

Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance.

Undertake training related to job duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑3 years of full‑time general maintenance experience (or equivalent).

EPA 608 Type I certification.

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intent to obtain within six months intangible.

Clear, effective communication skills.

Knowledge of key management and security systems.

Safety‑conscious attitude, record of punctuality, and dependability; ability to work under aggressive deadlines with a flexible schedule for after‑hours and weekend emergencies.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to access and learn computer programs (e.g., Entr والقرا, CMMS, Building Automation, Digital Control).

Willingness to travel when required.

Physical ability to stand 8+ hours per day and lift up to 100 lb.
