Night Warehouse Selector – US Foods
Night Warehouse Selector at US Foods is responsible for selecting, building, and shipping customer orders during night shifts. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork while operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely and accurately select customer orders and build/wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
Perform pre‑shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack
Move products from racks to pallets directed by order‑selecting software and equipment
Validate that the correct product has been selected and is damage‑free
Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink‑wrap palletized orders
Team up to clear aisles of debris and return pallet jacks to charging area
Physical Requirements
Comfortable working in a multi‑temperature environment ranging from –5°F to over 100°F
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20–80+ lbs of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product each shift is required
What You Bring To The Table
Read and communicate in English; attend trainings, hold conversations, and enter information on reports
Work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday–Thursday; occasional weekends and holidays may be required
Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high‑endurance or highly physical activities (e.g., lifting/transferring, construction, farming, sports) is preferred
Experience selecting large‑scale orders in a warehouse or distribution centre is preferred
Experience operating a motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred
