We are immediately hiring for a 1st shift Laboratory Technician opening here in the Columbus area! This is a long-term career opportunity and will be performing a combination of chemistry and physical testing on materials used for pipelines. An ideal candidate will have some chemistry knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude (meaning experience working with tools, machinery, or doing things like repairs on your own car, etc.).

Job Description In this role, you will set up and run laboratory experiments, analyze test specimens, and work on projects related to materials selection and corrosion testing. Your responsibilities will include experimental setup, data collection, and reporting, as well as inspecting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and conduct laboratory experiments.
Analyze test specimens and document findings.
Perform tasks related to materials selection, corrosion testing, and analysis.
Inspect, test, repair, and install laboratory equipment.
Work independently on project activities under the supervision of the project investigator.
Adhere to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance protocols on all projects.
Record research activities in the lab book.
Perform other duties as assigned, including solution preparation, cleaning test cells, moving items in the lab, and calibrating equipment as per prescribed procedures.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, OH.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
