Overview Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital is expanding its bed capacity to serve more patients. The Physical Therapist will conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off‑site settings as part of a continuum of professional care.

Essential Job Functions

Evaluates patients, gathers information, and develops a treatment plan with goals.

Provides direct therapy following patient plan of care and current standards of practice.

Documents care, coordination, goals, etc. in the electronic medical record accurately and promptly.

Maintains productivity levels while ensuring quality; delivers efficient care.

Follows departmental policies on safety, infection control, time off, and timekeeping.

Supervises physical therapy assistants’ treatment interventions and professional growth.

Precepts clinical experience or internship of students from partner colleges or universities.

Promotes rehabilitation services and wellness center activities with patients and families.

Co‑ordinates with other disciplines, agencies, families to meet patient care needs.

Licensing / Certification Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet all qualifications for traineeship or temporary license (required). BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for BSMH and at hire for RSFH.

Work Experience 2 years of experience in an equivalent setting (preferred).

Training None.
