Equipment Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled mechanic to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. The role involves performing routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance, as well as repairing or replacing defective parts and components. The mechanic will perform novice-level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW) and handle major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains. Inspections, servicing, and testing of equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications are also required. Accurate maintenance of repair records and collaboration with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems is essential.
