Industrial Mechanic – CONSOL Energy
Safely provide mechanical support to optimize plant availability and ensure the terminal’s equipment is functioning properly when needed. Provide mechanical support while operating equipment for transshipment of coal from rail to vessel.
Base Pay Range:
$44.00/hr – $45.00/hr
Responsibilities
Accept, embrace and promote CONSOL Energy’s Core Values: Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement.
Operate various mobile equipment such as forklift, manual shift truck, JLG man-lift, and crane truck.
Work in confined spaces, extreme weather conditions, and heights.
Ensure the safety of the work environment by following the Safe Work Instruction Program.
Understand prints, schematics, manuals, and drawings for troubleshooting equipment.
Work independently.
Operate oxygen/acetylene torch and weld at various angles and steel thicknesses.
Cross‑train in operational positions such as loaders, dozers, locomotives, and cranes.
Layout work and fabricate minor repairs or equipment.
Perform mill‑wright tasks related to bearing replacements and motor alignments.
Use a variety of hand tools.
Rig and work around cranes and hoists safely.
Required Skills & Experience
Certified welder with 3–5 years of experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods while using tools.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime.
