Working Title: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT I - 64007154
Responsibilities
Generate and audit the Day Since Deficiency Letter (DXA502) report at 75 days for all application types (Exam, Re‑Exam, Endorsement, Multistate, APRN, Autonomous APRN) to ensure Board compliance with Florida statutes, rules, and agency processes.
Produce letters for approval or updates on deficiencies and notify each applicant.
Provide daily assistance to management and staff, both verbally and in writing, to clarify concerns, obtain additional information, or explain relevant statutes and procedures as defined by Chapter 464, Part I & II, F.S., and applicable board rules.
Generate standard applicant correspondence to notify deficiencies and application status, and inform management of potential process improvements.
Work directly with the Special Testing Accommodations coordinator, NCSBN, and Pearson Vue to manage special accommodations for NCLEX examinees.
Assist the Deputy Executive Director with content and editing of the Board’s publication, The Florida Nursing Quarterly.
Perform other duties as assigned by managerial staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Compile, organize, and analyze data.
Proofread documents for spelling, grammatical accuracy, and punctuation.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
Understand and apply Florida statutes, rules, policies, and procedures related to licensing and regulation of professionals and facilities, and consumer protection.
Provide consultative assistance to others.
Plan, organize, and coordinate work activities.
Communicate effectively.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in data entry, document preparation, compliance evaluation, customer service, or handling sensitive information.
College education can substitute for required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.

This is a fully on‑site position. Employees must work from the Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
Additional Information Background check and/or drug screening is required. Successful completion of a drug test is a condition of employment for safety‑sensitive positions. Applicants may be required to perform emergency duty beyond normal hours.
