Job Summary: Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations, including counseling, education, and referrals for military service members and their families.
Responsibilities
Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering topics across the military lifecycle.
Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modalities (web‑based chat, secure video).
Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
Participate in in‑services/training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree with 4 years of experience or high school diploma with 6 years of experience may be considered).
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual English and Spanish if required.
Ability to obtain favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI).
Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
