Position Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the property. This includes tenant relations, lease administration, property maintenance, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The onsite role also helps ensure smooth communication between tenants, vendors, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day property operations and tenant communications
Manage lease documentation, renewals, amendments, and ensure compliance with lease terms
Support legal and compliance matters, including notices and tenant defaults
Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and tenant file maintenance
Respond promptly to tenant requests and inquiries
Assist with rent collection, billing, and account reconciliation
Maintain accurate property records and reports for management and ownership
Coordinate vendors and contractors; monitor work orders and completed tasks
Conduct property inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
Support the Property Manager with budgeting, expense tracking, and special projects
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in property management or related field
Knowledge of lease administration and basic legal/compliance requirements
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Experience with residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties
Familiarity with local landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations
Real estate license (if required by company or state)

$100,625.00 - $115,000.00
