What you'll do As a Revenue Accountant, you have in‑depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly/quarterly/annual close and financial reporting process for the revenue team. You pay great attention to detail, deliver results under deadlines and perform effectively cross‑functionally in a rapidly changing environment. In this role, you will support core revenue accounting operations, collaborate with cross‑functional partners, and help build or improve scalable processes.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager.
Responsibility
Review contracts with customers and analyze revenue recognition arrangements to ensure compliance with ASC 606, related U.S. GAAP pronouncements, and company policy
Identify revenue‑impacting terms or discrepancies and assess their impact on revenue
Perform monthly and quarterly close activities including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
Provide internal and external audit support documentation
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in driving their design and implementation
Partner with Revenue Operations, Billing, and FP&A teams to drive best practices in revenue accounting and support system and process efficiencies
What you bring Basic
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience with U.S. GAAP with ability to recognize and accurately record revenue in accordance with ASC 606
2+ years of accounting experience working in, or auditing, a technology company
Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and complex formulas
Preferred
Exposure to ASC 606
Organized, proactive and excellent attention to detail
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate accounting implications and recommend process improvements
Experience in a SAAS technology business
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with financial systems (Salesforce, Certinia, Oracle Fusion ERP, RevPro)
Demonstrated ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet required deadlines
Experience with automation tools (Alteryx, Power Automate)
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and cross‑functionally
Experience in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing environment
CPA certified or in the process of attaining the CPA
Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
California: $83,500.00 - $120,900.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $79,100.00 - $102,800.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $79,100.00 - $108,550.00 base salary
Washington DC: $83,500.00 - $108,550.00 base salary
Ohio: $71,100.00 - $92,400.00 base salary
