Accounts Receivable Commercial Collections Specialist
Join to apply for the Accounts Receivable Commercial Collections Specialist role at Cochlear.
Base pay range: $26.44/yr - $28.85/yr.
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado. Remote work available for candidates outside Colorado, hybrid models available for those inside.
Key Responsibilities
Contact customers via outbound/inbound phone calls and other communication channels to secure balance of debt by negotiating payment in full, payment arrangements, and payment terms.
Proactively manage credit limit, communicating potential credit limit issues to customers.
Collect on all outstanding receivables on assigned accounts.
Regularly report AR Aging and credit and collection efforts and issues to business owners and upper management.
Escalate and recommend accounts for watch or hold status to upper management on future orders when there is potential loss of financial exposure.
Timely follow‑up and information gathering to ensure collection of all outstanding receivables on assigned accounts.
Review and recommend write‑offs (adjustments) of accounts.
Issue refunds with appropriate documentation.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
2‑3 years of experience in commercial collections with solid knowledge of collection processes.
Strong written, verbal, active listening, and phone communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and Oracle knowledge is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative when needed.
Ability to work under pressure, meet daily productivity and quality standards, and maintain a positive attitude in a team environment.
Effective negotiation skills using complete and accurate information to achieve optimal arrangements.
Ability to lead assistance to others and collaborate within a team setting.
Knowledge of metrics and reporting to support performance tracking and decision‑making.

Pay Range: $26.44 – $28.85 per year, plus an annual bonus opportunity of 5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
