About The Role Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Bank Manager is accountable for the development, leadership, and performance of the Wānaka branch. They forge and nurture key relationships internally and externally to ensure ongoing business and customer success. The role enriches the Westpac brand, leading a diverse team of Banking Specialists and Customer Service Representatives to deliver excellent personal, business, and wealth management services.
Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team of banking specialists and customer service representatives.
Ensure the branch meets every customer’s needs across personal banking, business banking, and wealth management.
Develop and maintain key relationships both internally and externally to support ongoing business success.
Champion the Westpac brand within the local community and across digital channels.
Drive continuous improvement, leading change initiatives and coaching staff.
Qualifications
Proven recent experience as a bank manager, leader, and lender.
Highly developed interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.
Expert knowledge of the financial services industry.
Deep understanding and experience in consumer lending.
Understanding of foundational business lending (preferred).
FA qualification desired.
Demonstrated experience in leading change.
Commitment to and demonstrated coaching ability.
Solid understanding of the local area (desired).
Business tertiary qualification preferred.
