We are looking for a dedicated, personable, hands-on Accountant who can collaborate with multiple clients virtually and on-site, interact with clients and their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees, and contribute to transformative accounting services. This role offers potential for promotion to a Controller-level position and supports a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations Monthly financial statements and related analysis Grant tracking and monitoring Cash flow projections and monitoring Preparation for outside audits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus Intermediate-level Excel skills Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when safe Nonprofit experience preferred but not required Ability to work during normal business hours for part-time staff Customized cover letter explaining interest and qualifications is required

Compensation & How to Apply
Starting hourly range: $30–$45 per hour for this non-exempt position. Total compensation may include overtime pay and bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are provided annually. Base salary varies by education, experience, licensure/certifications, internal ranges, and location.
