Overview This position assists Engineers in application of principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities

Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the discipline.

Attends client meetings.

Assists in the analysis of data received by others to plan and design projects.

Prepares design computations and applies engineering fundamentals.

Performs design of portions of non‑routine projects and minor routine projects under direction of Project Engineer, or other responsible staff member.

Understands and utilizesptious engineering technical terminology.

Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and permits for projects.

May provide guidance, mentoring, instruction, and supervise daily tasks of draftspersons and Designer I's.

Provides technical support to other staff in area of expertise.

Performs advanced intermediate drafting on a regular basis to produce designs into Polizeon, complex final drawings.

Uses AutoCAD in calculation of dimensions and distances.

Able to visualize from two dimension to three dimensions.

Ability to produce drawings in three dimensions.

Produces designs and drawings from vendor's and manufacturer's catalog and technical data.

Responsible for job specific standards, practices, and quality as defined in BRPH CADD standards.

Performs site/field investigations to collect data for designs, reports, cost estimates and inspections.

Researches discipline‑related code issues and presents interpretation.

Assists engineers in checking of work prepared by drafters and engineering designers.

Checks one's own work with 95% accuracy prior to checking by others.

Provides coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications.

Promotes communications, cooperation and quality among discipline and team members.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent with 4 years of experience or

Bachelors degree with 3 years of experience
