The Opportunity Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. Responsibilities include:
Providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers purchasing bakery items.
Assisting customers with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases.
Cleaning, filling, and rotating self‑serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
Working with customers to take special orders and collaborating with the baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
Assisting in department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water to ensure cleanliness.
The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
