Position Summary The Commercial Account Manager (CAM) will sell products and services by interacting with commercial business customers and developing new relationships. The CAM will work to develop long‑term relationships with customers via commercial maintenance contracts and position Service Experts to support the customer’s HVAC needs.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize effective sales techniques, including networking and cold calling, to develop new accounts for commercial maintenance, service, retrofit and replacement business.

Actively manage and maintain relationships with strategic commercial customers and support ongoing relationships with these customers.

Ensure that the customer receives consistent service delivery at all locations.

Use the assessment tool and relevant systems to prepare proposals for commercial customers, explaining technical information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.

Prepare and present service contracts for new customers and update renewal contracts for existing customers.

Enter new customer data and sales data into the contact database.

Prepare weekly reports of contracts sold, business transactions, and customers contacted.

Inspect premises, determine installation or service requirements, and present bids, explaining credit terms and cost factors while emphasizing quality, performance and service.

Coordinate transition from new commercial installation customer to ongoing maintenance/service customer by meeting with owners and preparing proposals for ongoing HVAC needs.

Contact owners periodically to advise of progress of work and resolve any service problems.

Obtain building specifications from property owners and construction agents, and submit information to the commercial sales/estimating department.

Generate lead prospects from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet sites and other sources.

Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Proven sales experience with emphasis on B2B selling, cold calling, and generating sales from networking and lead generation.

Knowledge of commercial service sales concepts, practices and procedures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong relationship‑management ability.

Ability to build long‑term customer relationships.

Ability to work cooperatively with technical, administrative and support staff.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, contact management software and databases.

Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry preferred.

Self‑starter with a desire to learn and grow the business.

Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekend hours as required.

Must meet the minimum requirements for background check criteria.
