The Opportunity As a Law & Motion Attorney in our Wage & Hour Class Action department, you’ll play a critical role in advancing cases that impact workers across California. You will craft persuasive motions that shape case law and support class‑wide resolutions, all while working closely with a seasoned litigation team on high‑stakes wage and hour claims. If you have one or more years of experience and an interest in Wage & Hour, PAGA, and Class Action work, we want to hear from you.
This position can be fully remote or based in one of our seven offices.
Responsibilities
Draft and oppose a wide range of motions, including motions for class certification, summary judgment, and discovery‑related matters.
Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop and support legal strategies for class action and PAGA cases.
Conduct high‑level legal research on complex and emerging labor law issues.
Argue motions and oppositions in court.
Analyze deposition transcripts, expert reports, and key records to inform motion work.
Participate in meet‑and‑confers and liaise with opposing counsel regarding motion issues.
Stay current on developments in labor and employment law impacting wage & hour litigation.
Qualifications
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
Demonstrated excellence in legal writing, research, and analysis
Ability to distill key facts from discovery and apply them to complex legal frameworks
Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast‑paced litigation environment
Experience drafting or opposing dispositive and class certification motions, preferred, not required
Knowledge of the California Labor Code, Code of Civil Procedure, and relevant federal wage laws is preferred, not required
Compensation
Compensation range based on experience: $130,000 - $275,000 plus performance‑based incentives
