What to Expect
The Automated Systems Technician is part of an operational group of highly specialized Engineers & Technicians who create and improve manufacturing equipment in preparation of new product introduction programs.
What You'll Do
Work as part of the integration team to design, develop and execute projects from concept to commissioning
Devise, fabricate, install, calibrate, test and repair of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Assist engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of systems
Inspect and maintain equipment using tools such as DMMs and PC-based diagnostic software
Conduct quality assurance/control tests and procedure
Assist with troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and controls systems
What You'll Bring
Experience in fabrication, welding and assembly of modular aluminum extrusion systems
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and wiring electrical control panels, equipment, remote actuators, and input/output devices
Experience in validating new equipment and fixtures capability, repeatability and capacity prior to introduction to the production floor
Experience with cable and wire types and appropriate routing, installation of sensors and feedback loops
Experience and understanding of ratings for cables for motors, wires gauge, solenoid valves, sensors and other component in schematics and mechanical drawings
Experience in 3D CAD modeling (Solidworks or CATIA V5/V6) Knowledgeable in opening and editing electrical, pneumatic schematics, or equipment layouts in AutoCAD
Working knowledge of DC/AC electrical systems
Experience in Machining: NC machine tools; mill, lathe, saws, grinding equipment
Experience with dual strand chain conveyor systems is a plus
Knowledge in PLC controls logic a plus (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
