Position Overview This role will be on‑site in Phoenix, AZ. Critical Support Specialists are SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and highly trained in a specific area within the data‑center electrical/mechanical space. See the specialization list below.

We seek a Critical Support Specialist who knows what best‑in‑class service looks like and can deliver it. The successful candidate will work with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers to perform maintenance and repair for our data‑center infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted service for our customers.

Essential Job Functions

Perform detailed, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational tasks within your area of expertise, ensuring uninterrupted data-center operations.

Independently manage complex maintenance projects and system enhancements with minimal supervision.

Respond effectively to safety incidents and emergency situations, maintaining a secure work environment.

Exercise discretion and judgment in adapting workflows to shifting priorities.

Collaborate frequently with internal teams across multiple organizational levels and externally with vendors and technical partners.

Execute additional duties as assigned by management.

Duties by Specialization HVAC Systems Specialist

Oversee comprehensive operations and detailed maintenance of critical HVAC infrastructure systems, including chilled water and condenser water systems, CRAH, CRAC, humidity control, leak detection, commercial AC, variable airflow systems, boilers, and air compressors.

Provide technical leadership focused on optimization, innovation, and operational excellence.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using advanced techniques and data‑driven decision‑making.

Act as an HVAC subject‑matter expert, lead major system upgrades, and optimize energy efficiency.

Mentor junior personnel and contribute to industry‑standard training programs.

Low Voltage Electrical Specialist

Operate, maintain, and repair critical low‑voltage electrical infrastructure including substations, utility switchgear, transformers, feeders, distribution systems, power metering, power generators, ATSS, UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, RPPs, and controls.

Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance, implement detailed solutions to enhance reliability.

Provide expert guidance, training, and mentoring to junior team members.

Lead complex troubleshooting efforts, document findings, and contribute to procedural documentation and training materials.

Medium Voltage Electrical Specialist

Manage and maintain medium‑voltage electrical systems, including substations, transformer, feeders, and protective circuitry.

Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, detailed inspections, and extensive repairs.

Provide expert troubleshooting, resolve complex electrical issues, and mentor junior personnel.

Document comprehensive technical procedures and collaborate on system enhancements.

UPS Systems Specialist

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including major component replacements and system recalibrations.

Independently manage critical UPS maintenance schedules.

Apply advanced troubleshooting to resolve intricate UPS issues such as rectifier or inverter failures.

Collaborate with engineering teams on UPS upgrades, modifications, or enhancements.

Provide technical insights to improve UPS efficiency and reliability.

Generator Specialist

Perform comprehensive maintenance and operation tasks for generator electrical and mechanical systems.

Provide technical leadership and oversight for generator operations & maintenance, including preventive maintenance scheduling.

Lead major generator projects, planning and executing system upgrades.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards.

Mentor and train junior technicians and other staff.

Job Requirements

Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct hands‑on experience in maintenance and repair within mission‑critical environments, specific to your specialization.

Extensive knowledge of maintenance practices and operational standards relevant to your area (Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, UPS, Generators, HVAC).

Proven ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and operational manuals.

Strong technical writing skills with experience creating and updating MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.

Completion of formal specialized training (e.g., UPS, generator maintenance, chiller systems).

Current professional licensure or certification relevant to your specialization.

Occasional travel ( Successful completion of a background check.

Compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside the displayed range.
