Summary Collateral Specialists will be responsible for completing functions related to the review of the closed loan package and collateral documentation. Coordinating and preparing collateral to be sent to investors for sale; as well as reviewing Correspondent Collateral for Purchase by NQMF. These tasks include performing services requiring interaction and communication with Warehouse Banks, Investors, Purchase Acquisitions Coordinators, Correspondent Clients, Client Support Teams and the Secondary Department, regarding loan file status. Additional responsibilities may be added as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing daily mail and processing all incoming collateral received.
Process daily shipping of collateral to various warehouse banks, if assigned.
Review and clear exceptions with warehouse banks to ensure collateral is received and processed promptly to the investors, if assigned.
Review daily report on outstanding notes not received and place calls to settlement/escrow agents to obtain the documents within specific timeframes to meet warehouse turn times, if assigned.
Review incoming correspondent collateral for any defects prior to purchase.
Conditioning and clearing of collateral documents for Correspondent Channel when needed.
Effectively communicate and coordinate condition resolution with Correspondent Clients in writing.
Assisting Correspondent Clients with hypothetical Collateral issues and scenarios.
Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to document requirements for warehouse banks, Investors and Custodians.
Maintains familiarity with residential and commercial mortgage documents.
Works directly with Post-Closing, PC-Support, Shipping and Purchase Acquisition Coordinators.
