Job Summary & Qualifications Emergency Room Nurse – Registered Nurse
Registered nurses provide and coordinate care, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and families. Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.
What you will do in this role
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions while maintaining accurate, detailed records.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs.
Perform technical skills and procedures required for the role.
Qualifications
Current RN licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
ACLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.
CPI within 6 months of employment.
At least 1 year of experience as an Emergency Room Nurse.
