General Summary Duties include: Warehouse, Counter Service/Sales, and Delivery (when needed).
Counter & Warehouse Duties
Assist R.E. Michel HVAC/R customers at the counter using a computer to look up pricing, product and to generate customer invoices.
Answer phone calls from customers.
Assist customers to load purchased items in their vehicle.
Load HVAC/R parts, supplies, and equipment in the branch delivery vehicle.
Use of forklift as needed.
Make deliveries to customers' locations when needed.
Unload HVAC/R products and restock warehouse/showroom self-service area.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide
friendly
and
professional
customer service at all times.
Safely operate branch material handling equipment to move products weighing more than 70 lbs.
Pull customer orders quickly and accurately.
Load branch delivery vehicle and deliver to customer's location in a timely manner.
Able to read maps/directions to determine the most efficient route for customer delivery.
Assist with inventory counts.
Maintain cleanliness and appeal of branch location inside and out, warehouse and branch showroom area.
Operate R.E. Michel commercial motor vehicle (Non-CDL) for customer deliveries. (Position requires individual to successfully complete Federal DOT motor carrier requirements to operate a commercial motor vehicle such as
valid drivers' license, clean/safe driving record with the ability to obtain a DOT required Med Card. )
Work Environment Fast-paced environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Requires frequent bending, climbing, movement, and lifting during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday and some Saturdays (half day). This is a safety sensitive position.
Successful completion of pre-employment screens is required and must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift.
