Building Maintenance Mechanic
Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Building Maintenance Mechanic at Hillel Yeshiva School, located in Ocean, NJ. The Building Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs on various equipment and facilities. Day‑to‑day tasks involve maintaining building systems, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and students. The role requires prompt response to maintenance requests and proactive efforts to address potential issues.
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance.
Expertise in Corrective Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance.
Skilled in Maintenance & Repair tasks and overall facility upkeep.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in building maintenance contexts.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications or training in maintenance and repair are a plus.
