Maintenance Technician Full-Time

Job Duties Maintain buildings, equipment, grounds; perform maintenance and repairs as needed. Perform inspections of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, smoke alarms, A/C filters; maintain fleet vehicles; assist with moving files and furniture; perform other duties as needed or required.
Must have working knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Must have basic automobile maintenance knowledge.
Must be able to do heavy lifting (move furniture, etc.) and operate required equipment (power tools, hand tools, ladders).
Must be able to take the lead on projects and coordinate with Manager.
Other duties as needed or required.
Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Grad or GED.
Experience Two years minimum experience with maintenance work that includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. General contracting/construction experience preferred.
Computer Literacy Computer literate.
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Negative drug screening prior to hire and throughout employment.
Clear criminal background check throughout employment with Suncoast Center and local checks prior to hire and annually; DCF Level II prior to hire.
Valid Florida Driver’s License, vehicle checks prior to hire and annually, acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment, reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance.
Must have valid Florida driver license and agency‑approved driver status.
Must provide official transcripts.
Working Conditions
Work performed indoors and outdoors.
Requires driving company vehicle; must meet insurance requirements.
Travel required between agency locations and surrounding community.
Some cleanup and handling of hazardous material may be required.
