Job Overview
Hubbell Power System’s Laboratory in Wadsworth, Ohio provides laboratory testing services such as mechanical, environmental, high‑voltage, and high‑power testing to Hubbell business units and third‑party customers. Typical products tested are electrical utility distribution / transmission products. This position coordinates non‑technical laboratory activities, including purchasing and ordering materials / samples, and operates onsite in Wadsworth.

A Day In The Life Responsible for coordinating laboratory activities including but not limited to:
Maintaining laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025.
Serving as the primary contact for external third‑party audits, including A2LA.
Performing and documenting internal audits and resulting corrective actions.
Entering and tracking purchase requisitions, receiving invoices, and issuing goods receipts when necessary.
Scheduling equipment maintenance and calibration, receiving and reviewing calibration certificates for compliance with laboratory quality policies.
Interfacing with vendors of externally provided products and services, reviewing records, requesting new vendors, and performing vendor audits.
Managing, creating, and reviewing quality records and documentation, including procedures, policies, and quality manual.
Maintaining schedule for training and materials for quality related topics.
Performing editorial reviews of laboratory‑created documents including test reports, writing papers, procedures, and presentations.
Assisting with equipment safety checks.
Other duties as assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role? Minimum 2‑year post‑secondary education / training such as an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Trade School, Military Training, or formal on‑the‑job training.
Background in quality, administrative, customer service, or related fields.
Self‑starter with strong drive, initiative, and ability to work with limited management input.
Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Preferred
Previous experience in quality / calibrations.
Proficiency with SAP.
