Clinic Manager - Administrative - LV Trop. Family Med Cl - Full Time 8 Hour Rotating Shift (Exempt) (Non-Union) Manages all clinical operations under the direction of the Director. Oversees clinical and administrative responsibilities of the office, directing the work of clinical supervisors, administrative and medical staff. Directs patient care programs, nursing practice, education, and services. Supervises resource utilization and application of new technologies in patient care. Performs complex and varied administrative and clinical assignments. Serves as a personal contact for physicians, staff, and outside departments to address problems, issues, or concerns.

Essential Duties

Directly or indirectly supervise all subordinate staff; recruit, screen, hire, orient, and train staff. Evaluate employee performance, provide guidance, discipline, or terminate employees as required; maintain staff records and recommend promotions, terminations, and salary decisions.

Serve as a personal contact for physicians, staff, and outside departments to address problems, issues, or concerns.

Direct and coordinate patient care programs, review effectiveness, initiate corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies.

Investigate and resolve incidents and complaints from physicians, patients, visitors, and staff; document and report all incidents/accidents.

Oversee quality assurance programs for patient care within the unit.

Participate in policy formation, long‑range planning, and policy making for the hospital and department. Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures; ensure adherence and provide interpretation as needed.

Develop and implement security procedures, coordinate with University Public Safety, and promote security‑conscious awareness.

Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient care; provide objective data on performance of other clinical staff members.

Assess staff education needs and oversee development of education programs; promote staff participation in educational opportunities.

Administer use of facilities, equipment, and space; oversee maintenance and repair of existing facilities and equipment.

Communicate information, assignments, priorities, and special requests to staff; manage workload and monitor status of pending items and follow‑ups.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or combined experience/education as substitute).

3–5 years of experience managing ambulatory clinical operations in a healthcare setting.

2 years of experience in an ambulatory setting.

Excellent people‑management skills, ability to motivate and challenge staff, and tolerance for frustration and ambiguity.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands and clinical needs.

High skill and experience in process improvement.

Familiarity with Word processing, Microsoft Office, and departmental applications.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, planning and evaluation skills.

Good decision‑making skills and organization/time‑management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing a multi‑specialty clinic.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date (required within LA City only).

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 - $133,010.00.
