Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician (USA)
Position Summary: Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Base Pay Range $30.00/hr - $34.00/hr
Responsibilities
Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment (trailer tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles). Create and process work orders, assess maintenance repair and replacement needs, identify needed parts and possible solutions, select the best solution, and conduct maintenance repairs and replacements.
Repair and replace brake system components such as air, anti‑skid, ABS, disc brakes, and replace leaky wheel seals; dismount and install tractor‑trailer tires following Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements.
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing; complete work order records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures.
Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop for safety compliance, following procedures for fuel additives, monitoring tank levels before and after the drop, preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping, and completing appropriate paperwork.

Qualifications
Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
Brake inspection qualification as defined in FMSA regulations, Section 396.25.
Vehicle inspection qualification as defined in FMSA regulations, Section 396.19.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office proficiency.
ASE Certification.
DOT Transportation Certification.
