Overview Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a full-time
Registered Nurse
for the
Hahn Outpatient Cancer Center . This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in working with cancer patients in an outpatient setting.
Location & Schedule City/State:
Harrisonburg, VA
Work Shift:
First (Days)
– Four 9‑hour shifts per week starting at 7:45 AM.
Sign On Bonus Up to $15,000 with no contract or commitment required.
Education Associates Degree – Nursing OR Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing.
Certification & Licensure Registered Nurse license.
Experience Previous experience in acute care nursing is preferred. Oncology, Palliative Care, or Hospice experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care – teaching and health promotion and evaluation) and the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice / nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
