About Our Team We are the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), a 12‑bed adult acute behavioral health unit. With plans to expand our services, there is plenty of room for professional growth and a strong team culture.
How You’ll Contribute
Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
Initiate appropriate nursing interventions
Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Perform timely and accurate QI assessments

Qualifications The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total care of patients as delegated. Applicants should have a current VA or compact RN license. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Handle with Care certification required within 6 months.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Adult Advanced Life Support (ASLS) preferred.
One year of med/surg or behavioral health experience preferred.
