POSITION SUMMARY The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

EXPERIENCE

6-12 Months of customer service or hospital experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

CPR certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Ability to lift without any limitations

Compensation Range $17.40- $25.85

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
