A K-12 educational setting in Ruidoso, NM is seeking a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment during the current school year (CSY). This role involves working with children and adolescents to assess and treat speech and language disorders in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language challenges.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each student’s unique goals.
Provide targeted therapy sessions focused on improving communication skills.
Monitor and document each student’s progress meticulously to ensure effective intervention outcomes.
Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
Engage families by educating them on therapy strategies and encouraging active participation in the treatment process.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) is strongly preferred.
Experience working with pediatric or school‑aged populations is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology.
