Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN Days Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services (as part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) offers comprehensive, individualized treatment for emotional and behavioral disorders and substance use disorders. The 62-bed facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and provides care through a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians and recreation therapists who are committed to high quality care. Responsibilities
Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Supports the concepts of Patient Centered Care and demonstrates Service Excellence standards. Performs nursing assessments. Performs group, family, and individual psychoeducation. Develops nursing-related programs as appropriate. Performs initial precertifications and concurrent reviews on PHP patients. Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients. Participates in the development and updating of treatment plans. Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health networks. Charts every session and maintains accurate patient charts. Participates in program development meetings and coordinates services with supervisors. Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed (e.g., answering RESPOND calls). Reviews charts for physician orders and ensures orders are completed as necessary. Benefits

Requirements: Work experience:
Minimum three years experience in a mental health setting recommended; assessment and referral experience preferred. Licenses/certifications:
