Location: Banner University Medical Center, 1111 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix
Shift Information 3‑12 hour shifts. Thur/Fri/Sat nights 18:00‑06:30. Limited call requirement.
Responsibilities
Assist during diagnostic and interventional radiology endovascular procedures.
Prepare patients and work area, pull appropriate supplies and ensure good working order.
Review cases for correct supplies and plan upcoming cases.
Anticipate physician’s needs, pass wires, catheters, and devices.
Demonstrate aseptic and sterile techniques and universal precautions throughout procedures.
Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment performance.
Maintain a safe environment and adhere to radiation safety policies.
Ensure efficient workflow and maintain adequate inventory of supplies.
Core Functions
Perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional procedures per orders and policies.
Educate patients/families regarding procedure and treatment.
Produce high‑quality images and accurate documentation.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications per policy.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, legal responsibilities.
Support interdisciplinary teamwork and efficient resource use.
Minimum Qualifications
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
State licensure as required by regulatory agency.
Advanced specialty certification (if applicable) within 18 months of hire.
BLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
Effective communication skills, human relations skills, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional related education and/or experience.
