LEAD PRODUCTION OPERATOR - ICE CREAM PLANT
United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Production Lead Operator for our ice cream plant located in Norwood, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
Knowledge of basic GMPs
Pallet Jack Certification
Cleaning Totes
Maintaining Shrink Wrap
Packaging
Maintaining Box Machine
Setup for fillers for production along with filler head checks
Understanding coder operations for startup, shutdown & changeover
Reading the production schedules, etc.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing is a definite plus)
Certification: Forklift experience, DOT Physical Card
Ability to effectively communicate and receive directives from management
Organizational ability: organize your own workload and that of team members to complete work accurately and on time
Reasoning ability: solve problems and handle a variety of variables within the commissary using knowledge of policy and SOPs
Computer skills: Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, Sage X3
Full-time position; willingness to work overtime as needed
