Responsible for the accumulation, recording, and presentation of financial data for internal and external reporting. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Maintains and reviews all aspects of the general ledger. Ensures proper coding by hospital departments and Accounting personnel.

Prepares and posts journal entries in the general ledger(s). Ensures proper journal entry documentation.

Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements.

Coordinates completion and review of balance sheets.

Assists Director in compiling accurate financial analysis information for short-term and long-term financial projects. Completes special projects as assigned.

Assists Director in providing requested information for annual financial audit, tax returns and other projects deemed necessary.

Assist with technical/complex accounting & reporting issues.

Provides financial support and mentoring as needed.

Specifications Experience

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Accounting, Financial statement preparation, or healthcare.

Five (5) years of accounting experience.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance.

Training Special Skills

Spreadsheet skills, word processing skills, 10 key calculator, computerized financial systems, good communication and customer service skills.
