Seneca Resources is seeking a skilled and safety‑focused HVAC Technician to join our client’s facilities team in Jenks, OK. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who excels in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, control schematics, equipment manuals, and sequence of operations.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, motors, and air handlers.
Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) for system efficiency and performance.
Use diagnostic tools to analyze refrigerant system performance and execute repairs in compliance with EPA regulations.
Perform brazing, refrigerant recovery, vacuum, and recharging using industry best practices.
Maintain accurate equipment logs, maintenance records, refrigerant logs, and parts inventories.
Order and manage parts, materials, and tools to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
Collaborate with other technicians, mechanics, and facility staff to complete repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures, including the use of proper PPE and job hazard analysis documentation.
Support after‑hours emergency maintenance as part of an on‑call rotation.
Participate in ongoing technical training, classes, and seminars to maintain current knowledge of HVAC technology and best practices.
Required Skills / Education
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified 2‑year HVAC technical program or state‑approved HVAC license preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial or commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.
Licenses / Certifications:
Valid driver’s license. Additional HVAC‑related certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, NATE, or HVAC Excellence) are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and BMS operation; ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems; basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS software, and email communication).
Other Skills:
Excellent communication and documentation abilities; strong attention to detail, safety, and time management; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
