Our client is seeking a
CAD Designer
to support the development of mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production. This role focuses on translating engineering concepts into precise 3D models, detailed drawings, and production-ready documentation that support manufacturing, quality, and long-term product performance. Duration:

$30-$40, W2 Position Overview
The CAD Designer will create and maintain detailed CAD models, layouts, and engineering drawings while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards. Working under moderate supervision, this role supports product development, tooling design, and engineering change activity across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities
Develop 3D CAD models, layouts, and detailed drawings for components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) with a high level of accuracy and attention to fit, tolerance, and manufacturability Support concept development, trade studies, and final design solutions Apply drafting and design standards related to materials, bend radii, tolerances, fasteners, and fabrication methods Perform basic engineering calculations and design checks such as weight, center of gravity, and tolerance stack-ups Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and industry drafting standards Incorporate design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly best practices Support engineering change processes by preparing drawings, documentation, and release packages Maintain organized, high-quality design documentation suitable for production and long-term reference Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to meet project schedules and department objectives Stay current on CAD tools, GD&T practices, and drafting standards Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or related discipline 2+ years of experience supporting mechanical design, layout, and detailing for production products Strong understanding of drafting standards and design documentation Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting technical and schedule requirements About Innovar Group
