Responsibilities
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assemble components, examine connections for correct fit, and fasten parts and subassemblies.
Assist in building prototypes and other basic assembly projects outside normal production as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
Contribute to team effort by training others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements before passing it on to the next operation.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Assist in training new hires or current internal employees newly assigned to this role.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and skill development.
Ideally 0–1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and Bills of Material.
Basic computer skills.
Understanding and following verbal and written instructions in English.
Willingness to cross‑train and develop skills for Manufacturing Associate II roles, which may involve respirator fit and clean‑shaven requirements.
Physical Demands
Work is classified as Medium‑Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
Frequencies: Occasional (1–33%); Frequent (34–66%); Continuous (67–100%).
Lifting Demands:
Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis (floor to waist) with assistance.
Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis (floor to waist).
Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet.
Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis.
Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance.
Postural Demands:
Standing – continuous.
Walking – continuous.
Bending/stooping – frequent.
Squatting/kneeling – frequent.
Lifting – frequent.
Miscellaneous Demands:
Gripping, manipulation, fingering – continuous.
Variable hand/power tool use – frequent.
Two‑person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling, and pushing (engine stands, hand trucks, pallet jacks, hoists).
Pay & Benefits Pay starts at $20 per hour. Pay is based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
