Introduction The Connecticut Department of Transportation is hiring Statewide CDL Drivers for all of our Highway Maintenance locations! If you currently hold a Commercial Driver License (CDL) and are seeking a career in transportation and highway maintenance, come join a great team of employees who are dedicated to keeping our roads and highways safe and improving travel throughout Connecticut. The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT), is now accepting applications for CDL Driver/Highway Maintenance Worker (Transportation Maintainer 2) positions statewide.

To qualify for a desired location, you must live within 20 miles of the garage locations listed below.

30‑mile radius is acceptable for Bridge location.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

You must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with Tanker and Airbrakes endorsement. The Tanker endorsement is needed at the time of hire. You must also have a valid Medical Examiners Card (MEC).
