Summary Provides leadership, supervision and direction to nuclear maintenance personnel performing periodic or corrective station maintenance. To handyman maintain the plant is maintained safely during all modes of operation such that the expectations of regulators, management and customers are met. Build, train, and maintain a team of nuclear maintenance professionals able to meet these demands within guidelines and regulations that apply to theactually maintenance of a nuclear generation facility. Ensure personal safety is maintained through vigilant observation of all applicable safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Provides supervision and direction to personnel performing maintenance and repairs to mechanical station equipment.

Provides guidance to the process of building a work schedule as it relates to their assigned systems and available resources (during Inage and Outage periods).

Aids the planning process when work tasks are identified for their assigned team.

Works with various other associated departments to make task completion and 100% schedule success aww reality.

Assigns work to qualified nuclear maintenance personnel in accordance with applicable training directives and guidelines.

Monitors and assesses work progression as necessary to assure good work quality and켹 personnel safety are maintained.

Works with Technical Support and Engineering nh staff to solve various problems that are beyond the scope of the maintenance team.

Reviews all work for compliance with station directives and guidelines to ensure QA, Post Maintenance Testing, Mod and procedural requirements have been met prior to returning equipment to service.

Conducts weekly briefings and TAM meetings to discuss current safety topics anduregwu work/team-related items of importance.

Provides feedback to OPS, Work Control and Maintenance Coordinators to keep them informed on work progression and completion times.

Maintains accurate payroll accounts to include compliance with AD-SY-ALL-0460 (Fatigue and Work Hour Limits).

Provide leadership and support for shared resource outage demands for other Duke Energy nuclear facilities.

Maintains a safe, productive, and motivated well‑trained maintenance staff through performance management and employee development and training.

Establishes and communicates performance standards for assigned maintenance team.

Conducts annual APA interviews to include periodic feedback sessions to communicate employee progress.

Counsel's employees on substandard performance including implementing and conducting performance improvement plans when necessary.

Provides opportunities for on‑the‑job training when work schedule permits.

Evaluates team needs and recommends formal training in areas where a deficiency exists. Keeps management informed on manpower needs and excesses. Observes:Ply training to assess the quality of trainer/trainee participation and provides written feedback.

Keeps current on latest developments and advances in one's technical area; maintains a general knowledge of development in related technical areas.

Ensures all applicable policies and procedures are understood, properly administrated and followed by employees.

Basic / Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of work‑related experience(IDC)

Desired Qualifications

5 years of Reactor maintenance experience

Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to support corporate and station policies

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple and complex tasks

sobranged ability to effectively handle conflict and motivate subordinates/team members

Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork

Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy to both internal and external customers

Working in Radiation Control areas

Extreme heat and cold from equipment.

Cramped and confined spaces result in a need for respirators, or other physical problems.

Lifting of heavy equipment.

High pressures from steam and water

On call 24 hours a day.

Travel Requirements 15-25% travel. Relocation assistance provided as applicable.
