Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00 to $14.00 depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours: 6 – 10 hours.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and around the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professionally interact with store staff and customers.
Holiday support: Provide additional coverage leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
Department resets: Participate in installations and remodeling tasks, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance. Tasks may include evenings or weekends.
Team support: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers as needed within your territory.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job requiring consistent lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
Capable of lifting 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Can operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
Has Wi‑Fi and internet access.
Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores on schedule.
