Structural CAD Technician | Raleigh, NC This position is supervised by the Department Manager in the Structures Department, focusing on bridges and transportation structures. The applicant will assist structural engineers in developing plans and details using CAD software, primarily MicroStation.
Responsibilities
Daily in‑person presence at the Raleigh office location
Obtain guidance from structural engineers
Use computer drafting software to prepare high‑quality design plans for bridge rehabilitations, bridge replacements, and new bridges
Correct mark‑up drawings
Take verbal direction and hand sketches to create CAD format details
Manage project CAD files
Qualifications
2+ years of related industry experience preferred
Proficiency in at least one CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation Open Bridge
Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings
Ability to think 3‑dimensionally
Ability to work independently and accomplish multiple tasks
Team‑focused and enthusiastic
Associate's degree or Technical College preferred
Digital Twin (3D modeling) experience is a plus
