The
Avionics Technician
performs inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems using various hand tools and test equipment to meet manufacturer's specifications, FAR's, industry standards, and Repair Station General Operating Manual (RSGOM) in a safe and organized work area. In addition, this position may perform as Qualified Inspector (QI); completes accurate and timely documentation; and communicates and interacts with customers regarding aircraft technical issues.

Job Specific Requirements
Licenses/Certificates:
Eligibility for Repairman's Certificate; QI designation. Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Attendance:
Regularly scheduled attendance required; on-call and occasional multiple night travel rotation
Physical:
Routinely up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs.; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; reads small print and identifies colors; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
Environmental:
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
Education and Experience Avionics Technician I
Associates degree in avionics, electronics, airframe/engine maintenance or related field or equivalent required
Minimum one year avionics, electronics, airframe maintenance or related experience preferred
Avionics Technician II
Associates degree in avionics, electronics, airframe/engine maintenance or related field or equivalent required
Minimum two years avionics, electronics, airframe maintenance or related experience required
Avionics Technician III
Associates degree in avionics, electronics, airframe/engine maintenance or related field or equivalent required
Minimum five years avionics, electronics, airframe maintenance or related experience required
