Public Finance Investment Banking Analyst
Join FNBO as a Public Finance Investment Banking Analyst. This role places you at the core of our public finance investment banking group, acting as a lead analyst on deal analytics, disclosure, and offering documents while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You must comply with all regulatory and ethical standards of the industry.
Responsibilities
Lead analysis of public finance deals, including development of offering documents and regulatory disclosures.
Research market data to identify trend opportunities, products, services, and underwriting structures.
Contribute to Northland’s strategic vision by evaluating strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and market expansion opportunities.
Support the execution of financing structures, including analysis of outstanding debt, refunding scenarios, and financing alternatives.
Assist in business‑development activities such as prospect identification, proposal creation, pitch books, trade‑show participation, and client engagement.
Coordinate internal deal processing, including committee meetings, credit analysis, sales bulletins, and closing documentation.
Develop reporting tools to communicate public‑finance activities and business‑development progress to management.
Maintain compliance with FINRA, SEC, and other relevant regulations, completing continuing education and reporting any violations in accordance with Northland policies.
Demonstrate professional behavior, foster positive relationships, and pursue continuous improvement through training and special projects.
Qualifications
Experience in public finance.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years in an accounting, finance, or investment role.
Understanding of credit and finance concepts.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
Proficient in MS Office and presentations.
Strong communication skills.
Series 50, 52, 63, SIE or equivalent licenses.
Compensation Salary range: $100,000 – $150,000 (dependent on location and experience). Base pay range: $62,047 – $102,377. Final compensation may vary based on qualifications.
Work Environment Incumbents are expected to work onsite at the assigned location, which may change based on business needs.
