Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Fixed Assets Accounting, this position will work closely with the Finance and Operations teams and be responsible for maintaining the Company leases under the correct guidance of IFRS 16 (“Leases”) and providing financial reporting in a collaborative, team‑driven environment.

Your activities

Receiving information on new leases from various groups across the Organization and allocating the lease payments by asset

Inputting new leases in the LeaseQuery software

Booking the Right of Use “ROU” asset and liability for each new lease in SAP Accounting software

Uploading all AP documentation and check requests for lease payments into SAP

Reconciliation of cash payments between LeaseQuery and the GL

Roll forward of accounts in SAP to ensure they agree with LeaseQuery

Recording all transfers of assets in LeaseQuery

Dealing with end‑of‑term activities, including purchase of assets, and re‑leasing of assets appropriately in SAP

Managing assets purchase through procurement software, Ivalua, and close POs once a lease has been signed. Reconciling to ensure all POs are closed in Ivalua at the appropriate time

Monthly asset roll‑forward for owned and leased assets

Monthly information upload for roll‑forward and reversal of IFRS 16 accounting for operating leases for management reporting purposes

Annual Property insurance valuation

Annual Fleet Assessment of all assets for year‑end impairment considerations

Ad hoc checks to confirm consistency between LeaseQuery and Maximo (fixed asset software)

Support activities for reconciliation and proper accounting of owned assets

Other project and duties as assigned

Your profile

BS/BA in Accounting.

Minimum 5 years working in a Corporate or other Accounting role to include fixed asset and lease maintenance.

CPA or CPA candidate.

High integrity, solid work ethic and exceptionally detail oriented.

Ability to work in a fast paced, high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.

Familiarity with SAP fixed assets module and Lease management software preferred.
