Your Role In this role, we would empower you to lead a team in the pursuit of our mission to promote meaningful opportunities for the individuals we serve in order for them to fully participate as valued members of their communities. Specifically, we would entrust you to:
Lead and guide staff in the implementation of policies and procedures
Collaborate with regional respite center leadership to promote quality service to our clients in daily living activities
Other duties as assigned
Position Highlights PCN: 22421, 1st shift FT 70 hrs/Biweekly LFC, I&είου, NorBathroom Week One and Week Two Schedule: Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm; Saturday 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm; Tuesday 6:00 am – 1:00 pm; Wednesday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm; Thursday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities at the level of a Developmental Services Worker 2.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an ICF setting and adhering to ICF regulations.
Experience managing crisis situations within an ICF Residential Campus setting.
Experience with approaches to progressive discipline, and a thorough understanding of the DDS Work Rule.
Experience communicating, interacting with, and articulating information to internal partners, external partners, and the public in a professional capacity.
Experience with DDS policies and procedures related to payroll, hiring, purchasing, data collection and scheduling.
Experience as a supervisor with responsibility of supervising staff across multiple locations, effectively developing plans to prioritize work and assignments.
Experience identifying community resources for individuals with disabilities.
Experience assisting individuals to develop life skills.
Experience with basic knowledge of types of Assistive Technology (AT), and other modern approaches, to promote independence for individuals with ID.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel, as well as DDS e-camris and CORE‑CT.
Special Requirements
Incumbents in this class may be required to be bilingual or fluent in American Sign Language.
