Job Title: Citrix Systems Administrator
Location: Eglin, AFB
Eligibility: Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Citrix Virtual Desktop & RemoteApp System Administrator to design, deploy, and maintain our Citrix Virtual Apps, Desktops, and RemoteApp infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable performance, availability, and a seamless user experience. You will also provide Tier‑3 level support, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in future modernization and scalability efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, configure, deploy, and manage Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix Director, and RemoteApp solutions.
Monitor system health, perform daily health checks, capacity planning, and proactively identify/rootmitter anomalies in storage, network latency, and infrastructure.
Provide Tier‑3 incident management—rapidly troubleshooting, resolving, or escalating issues, and distinguishing user problems from systemic outages.
Execute system upgrades, architectural changes, patching, backup and restore procedures, and ensure environmentssuper remain secure and up‑to‑date.
Automate routine deployment and administration tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell.
Document system configurations, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and phasedly contribute to a knowledge base for future reference.
Mentor support staff and contribute to service improvement.
Required & Preferred Qualifications Required:
3+ years of hands‑on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops administration.
Active TS/SCI clearance (with ability to obtain CI polygraph).
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and core infrastructure services.
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex Citrix deployments.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
Citrix certifications: CCA (Citrix Certified Associate), CCP, or CCE.
Experience with Citrix ADC, Provisioning Services (PVS), and App Layering.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as Hyper‑V, VMware, or hybrid deployment models.
Familiarity with security hardening in enterprise, DoD or healthcare environments.
Technical Stack
