About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

Key Job Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.

Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.

Perform physically demanding tasks such as moving up to 49 lbs, standing and walking during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climbing ladders and gangways safely, and regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma.

1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Ability to work a flexible schedule/shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.

2+ years of conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.

2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.

2+ years of demonstrating safety standards.

2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience.

Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience.

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $58,760 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $78,104 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on location and may vary depending on experience and skills.
